A regularly-scheduled visit to our office will include a couple of radiographs (x-rays) and complete exam by your dentist. She will check for periodontal disease, decay, oral cancer and existing dental work such as crowns or fillings. Routine dental cleaning is key to prevent the buildup of plaque and tarter to help protect against periodontal disease and cavities. Our cleanings are thorough yet gentle.

X-rays are one of the most important tools dentists use to determine your oral health and create a plan of treatment. Images taken by x-rays reveal more than a regular clinical exam possibly could, showing decay, bone loss, and even tumors. Digital x-rays offer the added benefit of very low exposure - up to 90 percent less than conventional x-rays - and the ability to see images right away.
