Here is what to expect on your initial visit.

The first thing you will do when you arrive for your initial visit is to fill out your registration forms. These could also be filled out prior to your visit online. We recommend that you arrive a few minutes early on your first visit.

Radiographs

Prior to your check-up, we will take a series of digital images. Radiographs are needed to complete a comprehensive exam of your mouth. X-rays are important for denture wearers, too. Bitewings and periapical help see the condition of your teeth to treat dental problems before they become too serious. Panoramic radiographs help check for adequate bone support, cysts, tumors, lesions, and sinus issues.

Examination and review of x-rays with your Dentist

After reviewing your radiographs, Dr. Delgado will discuss your dental as well as medical history and the reason for your visit. She will then perform a thorough oral exam and suggest a comprehensive treatment plan that is best for you.

Recommended treatment plan

You will hear the term "comprehensive care" often at A Healthy Smile Dental. It means that Dr. Delgado will examine your entire mouth to determine your overall oral health. The recommended treatment will be for long-lasting good dental health; rather than just fixing an immediate problem.

Schedule your next appointment & Consultation with the Office Manager

Of course, we will be happy to take care of any immediate problem, but quick-fix solutions rarely solve bigger problems. Conditions left untreated may cause serious overall health issues in the future including heart disease, stroke, and diabetes.

Once Dr. Delgado completes and reviews your exam, our front desk staff will meet with you to answer any questions you may have, discuss payment options, and work with you on the best way to move forward with your treatment plan.

If, for any reason, you cannot keep a scheduled appointment, please give 48 hours' notice if not a cancellation fee of $25 will apply.
